Yes, we are running a network heavy install....The Acad.exe is located on
the server
I ran the update (u090_u181p.exe) from a machine with rights to the AutoCAD
directory...I received the 'AutoCAD 2000i update has been successfully
applied' message, and noted that the Acad.exe (on network) now has todays
date. I checked the _vernum on that same machine; it returned U.0.90
I logged into this same machine with limited rights to the AutoCAD
directory, and uninstalled the client 2000i. I then rebooted, ran the client
install, rebooted, started AutoCAD, checked _vernum (still U.0.90), shutdown
AutoCAD, apply update (with NO write permissions to network), received the
'AutoCAD 2000i update has been successfully applied' message, checked
_vernum which still returns U.0.90
My understanding is that _vernum should return U.1.81 after applying this
patch. I also expected that the update would inquire the location of the
client deployment directory (which it didn't). The new date on the Acad.exe
would seem to indicate that some change was made, but I can not verify it
with the _vernum.
