Hello.
When I launch the exe file I downloaded from Subscription Center, It runs, asks permission, begins installing, then disappears. .NET is up to date. If I try to run it again, I briefly see a message saying its repairing AutoCAD, but then it disappears as well.
What's up? Is programming so difficult that it can't generate an error message any more. At least then I would have something to start with.
Thank you, Scott.
If it is asking you permission and not doing anything, you probably don't have proper rights and UAC needs to be disabled.
I can't get past the Akamai Downloader. I have admin priviledges, actually domain admin, and using Win7. If UAC is blocking it, I would get a message saying as much.
I've contacted Autodesk, and below is the reply. I tried the suggestions, and it didn't change a thing. No install or setup log files were created. I replied to Byron on Thursday stating as much, and I have yet to hear back fom him.
This is a case of lazy programming, pure and simple. If it should write to a log file, there is nothing stopping it from generating a Windows error dialoge other than a lack of code.
Why hasn't Autodesk reponded or offered to try a remote sesssion?
