Force 2013 3ds Max to recognize DirectConnect (Direct Connect)

Hi,

I've been messing with the registry and uninstalling/reinstalling 2013 3ds Max trying to get it to install DirectConnect with 3ds Max like it's supposed to but haven't had any luck. I can manually install DirectConnect from the 3ds Max DVD using the .msi under the DirectConnect folder.

Does anyone know how to force 3ds Max to recognize where Direct Connect is installed after a manual run of the DirectConnect.msi from the 3ds Max DVD? Is there a DirectConnect plug-in I can link to using 3ds Max plug-in manager? Any help is appreciated.

Did you get any help with this? I'm trying to import an IGES-file, but max (2013) can't find DirectConnect.

I didn't try reinstalling max just yet though.

I got the import working by installing AutodeskDirectConnect7.0.msi that was located in the install files:

\3ds_Max_2013_64bit\x64\DirectConnect
