FlexLm (SAMReport_Lite) Report Generation

We have a redundant server(3 servers) concept for AutoCAD 2002 license. I got the license file from GlobeTrotter for using SAMReport_Lite. I have added the contents of the license file to my existing Autocad license file and re-read the license file. When I try to run the SAMReport-Lite from one of the server, it is asking for the license file or server name. If I point to any of the 3 servers or the license files, again it is prompting for the same. Am I missing something?

Regards,
Ramesh.

Yes, you are missing a few steps.

The SAMreport-Lite license is not added to the
Autodesk license file.  Since you are using redundant servers you will also
have to authorize your SAMreport-Lite for all three servers and turn on report
logging on for all three servers.  The following two documents should
help:

I too installed SAMreportlite in our AutoCAD License server by following the steps mentioned.
1. Create an OPT file by specifying the path for 'report.rl file' and save it in the license folder
2. Create a report.rl file using notepad and save it a folder whose path is added in the OP file.
3. Stop and sart the server and the services.

But I could generate a report using the SAMreport lite. The error message says that it cannot read the record.rl

Any help to resolve this with clear steps, please.

papurajx,

I am having similair problems. First does your SamreportLite show licensed?

If not you will have to install at the console and should not run remotely.

Also,

SamReportLite has its own license file. During the SamReportLite installation the default is c:\gsi\samreport\machind\license\license.dat. This is where the license file you received from autodesk should be added. Not in the lmtools feature.

I hope this helps!! Good Luck!!
