FlexLM2004 on a new server, migrate R2002 management

I got the new LIC file, based on the new server name and the new MAC
address. I want to install FlexLM on the new server, and make sure that both
R2002 & R2004 are working, before I bring the copy of FlexLM on the old
server down. I tried coping the INCRAMENT line for ADT3.3 from the LIC file
on the old server to the LIC file for the new server, and it seems no dice.
Is this the case. Do I need to get a LIC file for R2002 to run on the new
server, and clip the INCRAMENT line and add it to the R2004 LIC file? Seems
to be a problem, as the web site 1: only licenses the newest product & 2:
barfs on my SN because I am on subscription and my SN for both R2002 & R2004
is the same. And Customer support all went home.
So, here I am on a Friday night, doing this stuff when no one else in the
office is working, and I can't get it done!! Ack!!

Any advice anyone?

Gordon

You will need a new license file for ADT 3.3. if you are changing servers
and not moving the ethernet card you bind to from the old server to the new
server.

Simon, how does one go about getting a new 3.3 licence? On the website, I
can't choose which version to get a license for, and as we are on
subscription, our SN is the same for 3.3 & 4/2004. Or could I use the Issued
line from the R2004 LIC file, as the SN is the same for both?

Best,
Gordon

Gordon,

No you cannot just mix and match parts of a license file. The best option is
probably to contact your local Authorisation Centre.Contact details can be
found on the Contact Us - Phone Numbers page on autodesk.com
