FlexLM and WINSOCK errors

Since migrating to SBS 2008, we cannot connect to our licensing via FlexLM.  When connecting, we are prompted to specify the License Server System.  If I enter the server's name, I immediately get a network error. If I enter the server's name and append it with .local, I get a little further, but still end up with the following error:

The Networking Software (WINSOCK) could not obtain the I address of the computer "XXXXX.local".

This could be due to "XXXXX.local" not being a valid computer name, or the DNS Name Resolution Service is not working or not configured properly.

You may need to include "XXXXX.local" in your "hosts" file.

See your System Administrator for assistance.

I can ping our server no problem, and the debug log on FlexLM Server doesn't show any errors... but it also doesn't show a request coming from my computer for the license either.  I'm at a loss here.  I don't know how else to make them communicate.

If you have ipv6 enabled please get the latest version of license manager with ipv6 support.

if you get socket error while doing "netstat -a" command, please try to reset winsock/ip
