FlexLM: Multiple Serial Numbers for one Product

I am setting up our AutoCAD 2002 products to be licensed through FlexLM.

As an example:

I have 6 seats of LDDT3 in 3 serial numbers. (a 4 seat license and 2 single
seat licenses). I sent these serail numbers to Autodesk expecting to get a
single authorization for a 6 seat network license. Instead I received an
authorization code for each serial number. I installed all three in one
license file to the FlexLM server. When I do a Server Status Inquiry, it
indicates that 6 licenses are available for LDDT3.

Does this mean that any 6 of my network clients can run LDDT3 or am I going
to run into a problem where the client's serial number is going to match 1
of the 3 installed licenses and limit that serial number to its allowed
number of connections?

Thanks for any input.

Hi David,

It sounds like they messed up on the authorization. Based on this message,
you should have received a FLEX license for four Network licenses. Your
other two seats are standalone and should have been authorized as standalone
product. They should not be part of your Flex Network license file. You may
want to try calling in and having them re issue you the flex license file as
a 4 seat product, and then register the two standalone products as just
that, standalone.

Hope this helps.
