Failing to install

We have recently gotten a new computer with windows 7 OS. My old computer sytem was windows xp and it was a 32bit system. I got from Autodesk "AutoCad_Mechanical_2012_English_Win_64bit.exe" and installed it. When I got to the finish Autocad failed to load and in the rror log it told me "You are attempting to use a 32-bit installer on a 64-bit operating system." What am I doing wrong.

Very frustrated.

you can't install 32 bit mechanical 2012 on a 64 bit OS
You need to download the 64 bit 2012 mechanical

From your log: "DirectX Runtime Failed Failure is ignored, Result=1619"

Search around here where you are posting for that problem and posted solutions.

Thanks for your help.

Don't worry about it, all is good. I had a tech come in and fix the problem. I am up and running now.
