Failed to install Maya for students

Hi,

 

I tried to install Maya for students. i got the serial no. and product key. First time i opened the file to install, the instalation stucked for houres on 7% when i tried for the 2nd and 3rd time it imidiatlu showed me that the instalation was finished and failed, and to see the instalation log file which i dont understand...

 

I attached the log file

 

i would realy appriciate any help

Welcome to the community.

 

Your product is failing to install because the prerequiste program required by the installer is failing prior to the installation of your Autodesk software.

 

Install	Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable ATL Security Update (x64)	Failed	Installation aborted, Result=1603

 
If the prerequisite program already exists on your computer, it is likely newer than the one the Autodesk installer is attempting to install. Please uninstall the prerequisite program causing the issue and run your installer again.

The prerequisite is not already installed and installation still fails, then you may need to make an advanced edit to the setup.ini file to ignore the error. Please make sure you manually install the prerequisite file from Microsoft and then modify the setup.ini file accordingly.

Hi,

Thank you very much for the quick response.
I uninstalled all the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable.
then i uninstalled microsoft .NET framework 4 and installed it again from
the Microsoft site,
i tried to install Maya again and it stuck when installing .NET framework
(7 of 14 remaining).
i didn't find setup.ini as mentioned in the instructions..

I will appreciate your help.
