Hi,
I have just transfered the Autodesk License Manager from our old server to our new one. I have followed the installation guides to the letter.
Now when I open up any of our Autodesk softwares on any of our computers a FLEXnet License Finder appears. When I type in the HostID or IP address of the server it accepts it and when finish is clicked it loads for 10secs and then goes back to the FLEXnet License Finder page.
No error appears just keeps going round in a loop.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Mark,
First of all, did you get a new license file for the new server? Assuming that you did and that your license manager is, in fact, running and showing available licenses, it could be a couple of different things.
I am going to assume that your status enquiry on the new server shows licenses available. So...
1. It could be a firewall block. Using only Internet Explorer, test the ports via:
http://servername:27000
http://servername:2080
Both should yield a page of jargon. If an error appears, your ports are block. Create exceptions in your firewall for all four .exe files of the NLM and ports 2080 & 27000.
2. It could be an IPv6 error. If your workstations PING the server and respond with an IPv6 address instead of a standard IPv4 octet, then you need to modify your hosts file or DNS server appropriately.
For more information about Network License Manager connectivity issues and IPv6, please see my discussion post here:

You can always point your clients to the new server using the ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE system environment variable and/or change the LICPATH.LIC file in the root of the client app.
Good Luck!
Travis are the ports TCP or UDP or both?
Apologies not the most server savvie kind of person.
They are TCP. It's almost always firewall or IPv6 on these issues. Especially with newer servers.
Have you tried to update the LMtools with IPV6 version? From my experiecne, most issues issue are caused by this.

The IPv6 version never worked...
Hi,
I have tried installing the IPV6 version and still no luck. This is beginning to seriously disrupt our work. If I gave you remote access to our server (Teamviewer) would you be able to diagnose the issue?
The above response is from an old user account that I accidently logged into. Please read what it says but respond to this autodesk login.
have you tried the flex lm timeout variable: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=7574782&linkID=9240617
