Extracting MSP

Why is this not extracting the .msp?

This type of stuff is so not in my job description.

Verbatim I’m typing out “c:\c3d2008_sp20.exe\ /e c:\c3d2008_sp20.msp” and I get “The directory name is invalid”. The EXE is on my C: root, where have I gone wrong?

Go to a command prompt and to the root of your C:\. Then just type "c3d2008_sp20.exe /e c:\c3d2008_sp20.msp" You don't need the leading drive designation when you're right there in the same directory level.

You also have a \ at the end of your .exe which makes Windows think it's a directory instead of a file.
