Error message: AppHangB1

When using XSI 2010 sp1 32 bit, I select the material in the editor and everything turns white and my system freezes.

I'm running Win7 64 bit.

After about 2 mins. the system runs again allowing me to select another material and then freezes again.

In the event viewer I see:

Event name: AppHangB1

Appl name: XSI.exe

App version: 8.0.209.1012

App time stamp: 4ad3e42c

hang signature: 9770

Hang type 1

I can't get any work done with this problem.

Please, what is causing this and how can I fix it?

Thank you,

Don Johnson

Hi Don,

This problem occurs with all the scenes or only with specific ones?

Have you download and installed the last graphic card drivers?

If you open the Material Manager before you load the scene, the problem still occurring?

Case solved.

We went through a lot before we got to the resolution (we systematically eliminated possibilities: custom preferences, graphic card/display driver, firewall, application conflicts, ...).
