Error installing clients

To all

I have a network installed version of 2000i. It was a straight forward
installation and everything appears to be working ok (now that I got the
help mapped! bg) but on 3 machines the client just won't install. The
install starts then when it says checking windows configuration it just
stops and shuts down the install. I have 6 computers that are essentally
the same with windows 98 on them. The all are on the network and I do a
network heavy install (EXE is on the network drive). Like I said, all of
the computers install the software but one (in this group), I have the same
problem on a couple of NT boxes as well.

I have a log file from the machine if that would help.

Any idea's what I might try to solve this?

I had a similar problem until I realized that I had to un-install AutoCAD
(stand-alone) on the client machine before it would accept the network
deployment.

Hi Shawn,

Go to the Image directory of your Deployment and run CLIENT.EXE. This will
run your deployment in a Verbose mode. This way you can see what is causing
the silent installer to fail and probably get your install finished.

Take care.
