Error applying transforms

Does anyone know what might cause this?

Installing Civil 3D 2010 on WinXP-32. Standalone version.

The install program comes up, we pick Install Products, check Civil 3D and Vault Client as the apps we want to install, press Next and get "Error Applying Transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid."

Can anyone shed light on this issue?

Thanks,

Tim
