Windows 8 is not a supported operating system for your products.  You are welcome to try the product for testing, but you should not use it or activate it as a production machine. 

 

Although not supported, I was able to install AutoCAD 2012 on Windows 8 Consumer Preview.  My steps are listed here:

You should not have any expectation for additional support getting this to work.  I wish you luck.

At this time, Windows® 8 and the Windows® 8 Consumer Preview are not supported operating systems for any AutoCAD versions officially.  The AutoCAD team is investigating compatibility with these new platforms, but we do not have any further information at this time.
