Hello there.
I am having issues installing Autocad 2012 on a couple of machines. All of them are running Windows 7 Home Basic 64 bits.
I have read some suggested solutions here and on "up and ready" website with no success (posts http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2011/07/error-2738-installation-could-not-access-vbscript... and http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2012/10/error-2738-could-not-access-vbscript-run-time-for... I have contacted @AutodeskCare on Twitter and ^CAM suggested me to come to this forum for further help.
These machines have McAfee Antivirus Plus (I read that some uninstallations of McAfee may produce the error, but I have it installed right now with no plans of removal for that).
The weird thing here is that on similar computers (same hardware and software installed) I have had no issues at all (this issue is happening on 3 out of 7 computers).
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hector
I am glad you are trying to harness the community. The 2738 error is a hard one to fix. The are many ways to solve it and are posted in the Up and Ready blog post. I am going to get one of our other gurus to check out this post.
