Error 1603 and 1619 during Revit 2012 installation

I am trying to install the student version of Revit 2012 on windows 7 and I through the serial number part, but as it installing, it just aborts.  When I look at the installation log, I see errors 1603 and 1619.  I check some solutions here and re-installing windows was what one person did, but I cannot do that.

Please help.

1603 is generic permission error, please try to install the software in diagnostics mode as described here

http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS75218

If the issue persists, please post the all the log files from the %temp% folder (start->run/search->type %temp% ->Enter) as a zip file.

Hi Hashim,

Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried the diagnostic mode and it still failed.  I attached here the installation log so you can see the errors.

Please let me know if you have ideas.

Thanks!

Still not working for some reason.  I looked at my control panel and it shows Visual C++ 2005 Redist to be installed.

I have attached the new installation log.

This time when I tried to install, a popup came up right before installation attempted.  The popup said windows installer has failed.

error in the log is still about

Installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable

Please uninstall all VC++ components and install it manually as described in the other posts

Hi Hashim,

I tried it.  I uninstalled all VC++ components and then installed from the microsoft website.

It is still providing the same errors.  Could I be installing the wrong versions?  I am using these links:

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5555

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5638

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=29

Best,

Bishara

Assuming the error is still about VC++ runtime

Links are almost correct for 32 bit OS. (except for the 2008 one)

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=5582

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=5555

Have you done a complete windows update ?

Have these installations gone through successfullly ? if yes

Another option would be to clean all the VC++ components and let the revit installer do this part.

If it fails, please post the detailed logs from the %temp% folder for the vc++ part.

Still not working.

I removed all vc++ components and let revit install them.  It did not work.  It only installed 2005 and 2008 and then failed.

Then when I try to get you the temp files, the only folder in the Temp folder that is related to VC++, is VC++2010.  And there are some 2010 related text docs, but I can't open them????  It says access denied.

Can I get in touch with anyone at Autodesk to help me?  Maybe with a shared screen to solve the issue?

I really need to get this installed so I can do some work for my class.

Thanks.

Were you able to install VC++ 2010 manually ?

I did not try after the last attempt by revit, but I don't think it will make a difference since the issue is with 2005 and 08.

Only the latest ones when zipped should be much lesser.

If not please post the VC++ installation logs.
