Early license check in message

When a user returns a borrowed license early, it tells them it was successful. In the log file however I get the following message:

9:41:40 (adskflex) Checkin failed feature "46700ARCHDESK_2005_0F": username stationname stationname

Why is it saying it failed in the log but the process seems to be working fine?

Brian, That error is not an indication of a failed return. In fact, this error by itself is not an indication of a functional problem. If you want to make sure the license is being returned, run LMstat or use the status button in LMtools. You will see something like the following if a seat is borrowed: Users of 46400INVBUN_9_0F: (Total of 2 licenses issued; Total of 1 license in use) "46400INVBUN_9_0F" v1.000, vendor: adskflex floating license myname WKS1 WKS1 (v1.000) (SRV-B/27000 102), start Wed 8/25 7:16 (linger: 146580) Note the "linger" flag, you will only see this if the license is borrowed. The above example is using an Inventor license but it works the same for all borrowable products. -- Jerry Milana, Autodesk Consulting "bstaples" wrote in message news:7606526.1093437441963.JavaMail.jive@jiveforum1.autodesk.com... > When a user returns a borrowed license early, it tells them it was successful.
