Dear Supports,
After converting our network to VLAN, our ECOTECT v5.5 users now not able to connect to our Ecotect License Manager. We did some test, like pinging the Server Netbios name and IP address on the client PC and get correct response. Port 1520 is also allowed on the Server side for that client PC subnet.
Just to isolate also the problem, we also disable the Ecotect Local Server Firewall but still the user PC not able to connect.
Please advise.
Regards,
Malvin
If you can ping the NLM server and ports 2080 and 27000 are open (or firewall is off) then the problem is most likely a latency issue thru the VLAN.
You can first test the connectivity to the NLM server from the client via a web browser. Point your browser to the following address:
Replace servername with the hostname of your NLM server. You should receive the following response:
Wê-60Wê-60Wê-60Wê-60Wê-60Wê-60Wê-60
If that works, then you likely need to set a system environment variable on your clients to increase the amount of timeout that the software polls the NLM server.
Create a new system environment variable named FLEXLM_TIMEOUT and give it a value of 1000000 (one-million.) This should be sufficient enough to ensure connectivity.
For more information about this variable, please see this link:

I tried the procedure but was not able to access it via Browser. Its not also a firewall issue because we also tried disabling the firewall of the Server.
