Does R14 (14.0) work in win2000?

Hi!
We have R14 (14.0 network-version). The License-server(Adlm) is running
on a WinNT4, and we have an Deployment Installation on a Netware5-server.

It worked great when we have win98 on the workstation, but after we have
converted to win2000, ACad does not work anymore.
We get error-msg; Hardware-lock/Network-license could not been found

Since we dont have v.14.1, we can't use the patch for tcpip found on
Autodesk support.

So my question is;
Is possible to upgrade to 14.1? Is there a 14.0 -> 14.1 upgrade?

Does R14 really work on Win2000, or do we have to upgrade ACad?

To the best of my knowledge, R14.01 was only available on CD media from your Autodesk dealer. Key word being *was*. You may be able to still locate one though.

Works fine here, at least the non-ADLM version.

I do not know if the network version of R14.0 will work on Windows
2000. Some people have reported working with no problems. Some
people have reported problems, and the solutions that have been
offered are:

Uninstall AutocAD and reinstall it.
Install a Windows 2000 driver for the lock.

The only way to upgrade to 14.01 is to get a new CD from your dealer.
!4.01 is now an old version; there has been three major releases
since then. Your dealer may not have it any more.

http://support.autodesk.com/enu/Homepage.asp
Click on Knowledge Base on the left side
search for these Keywords in the field in the middle of the screen
"TS67802", without the quotes though.

that will bring up some Windows 2000 settings that may help you out, you do
need to know the name of the computer serving licenses on your network.

What type of the servername? The NetBIOS, DNS or IP-nr!?

Duo we have to share the license-file to the network?

Which licence file? If I remember correctly, in R14 there's no licenece
file ;-). You don't need this variable. Just use ACADSERVER and the
DNS name of your licenceserver. If you're not sure, just type
ping -a THE IP OF YOUR SERVER in the commandline at any of your
computers.

In addition to Brian's advice I will sugest the document "DL154103" of
the knowledgebase.
