Does Cascading licenses work for AutoCAD?

I just need to clarify, I combined our licenses for autocad and autocad mechanical in one lic file. I installed autocad to number of clients more than the licenses we have (which I think is ok, the license manager will be giving only the exact number of licenses we have anyway..)but as i try to run the application it did'nt work. As I checked from the LMTools, it showed that the licenses for my autoCAD are all in use but there are still available licenses from autoCAD mechanical. I was expecting that the server will allow us to use the licenses from AMECH since it has autoCAD in it. Now I'm confused. Is it required that i install AutoCAD Mechanical to these clients in order for them to use it's licenses for plain AutoCAD? I hope somebody here could help me... thanks in advance..

Hi,

AutoCAD in Plist is part of Revit series and not AutoCAD Mechanical.

Open your lic file and you will see group C0x (x=7 or 8 or 9).
AutoCAD in AutoCAD Mechanical will use AutoCAD Mechanical license.
