Does Adlm support multiple lans within a Netware 5 server

We have R14/Adlm and Netware 5

The server has 3 seperate lans installed within in it all using tcp/ip

The Adlm server is a seperate system on one of the lans.

I can only achieve a connection from R14 hosts which are on the same lan.

I can ping the adlm server from all lans and the Adlm can ping the othe lans.

Should I be able to open R14 on all lans?

ADLM on Novell only supports IP, not TCP/IP.

    Hope this helps.

    Tim,

Since you have AdLM working on one segment and make no mention of IPX
protocol, I assume that you are running AdLM on a Windows box that resides
in the segment that works. If this is true, one of two things can be
keeping you from working in the remote segments.

First the simple scenario. In order for AutoCAD to find an AdLM server in a
remote segment, ACADSERVER must be set. This is because without ACADSERVER
set AutoCAD finds an AdLM server via a udp broadcast. Broadcasts are not
going to cross from one segment to another. If ACADSERVER is set AutoCAD
will also send a specific request to any AdLM server listed in the
ACADSERVER value. For more information on ACADSERVER, visit
    http://www3.autodesk.com/adsk/support/techdoc/0,,83002--125452-0_21843,00.ht
    ml
Remember that ACADSERVER is case sensitive and TCP/IP hostnames are
    generally lower case.

If the above does not help, than you probably are filtering udp traffic
across your segments. AdLM uses udp port 1422, that port must allow traffic
in both directions. If you are using your Netware server as the router, you
will have to check with a CNE or equivalent on how such filtering may be
    enabled or disabled.
