I' m wondering if it is possible to have a installation of Autodesk Inventor 2009 and Autodesk Inventor 2012on the same pc

Yes you can have 2 versions installaed on the same machine (Inventor and Autocad)

Inventor you can't run both version at the same time.

Autocad you can run both at the same time (if you have enough license)

I had C3D 2009 and C3D 2012 on the same 64 bit computer and all sorts of strange mysterious problems arose.  I uninstalled both of them and reinstalled 2012 and the problems went away.
