I wanted to share an interesting piece of information that a customer shared with me. The Design Review 2012 install was failing on the system when pushed through GPO, at the point when it needed to install the C++ 2005 x86 SP1 Redistributable package. He discovered that the failure in the C++ Redist package was due to Windows Updates having already updated that particular package. This caused Design Review to not detect that C++ 2005 x86 SP1 was already on the system.
He found that if he pushed the C++ 2005 x86 SP1 package after the Windows Update was applied, then the package installed correctly and as a result Design Review also succeeded.
