DOWNLOADED FILES

With the new system of installing from a downloaded file rather than off a DVD it seems we have 3 places where large files are kept on the hard disk. The initial download, the extracted files (in another location) and finally the installation under program files. Was hoping to remove the initial downloaded file from the computer (from the AKAMAI directory - file size is about 3.7GB) Can I do this? Is it worth coping to DVD for backup. Thanks.

Yes you can delete the downloaded file or archive it. You will find more information about the download files at this thread: http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=769641.

Thank-you I will archive the downloaded information to a dvd. (Darren we did not recieve the original DVD from Autodesk as in previous years)
Also can I delete the files contained in the c:\autodesk which seems to be the intermediate step of the installation. The ultimate location is in program files under Autodesk.
Thanks again. Regards,Mark
