Configure ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE system Env_Var via GPO??

Hi, i'm seeking some advice if anyone can help?
Our company is adopting a global network user license strategy to consolidate all of our Autodesk licensed products. As the new deployment images have already been created by another team (pointing to an old lic server) Im thinking to use a custom *.ADM GPO template to change the XP Pro clients system environment variable to point to the new list of distributed primary license servers i.e. @server1;@server2;@server3.

The other alternative maybe to distribute a reg file to all the XP clients via SMS, making the same Env_Var change as above.

What is the recommended solution\best practice for making these client side changes??

Both should work just find for your needs. Personally, I would use the .reg method if I were doing it. But you should have no problems doing both. Good luck!

you might also use the login script to set the environment variable.
