Combine License File AND Options File??

Thanks to Jimmy and some others for answering my earlier questions. We're about to upgrade from 2004 to 2008, I know now we'll need to do the following:
stop 2004 service
install new version License Manager
request new license file for 2008
combine license files
restart service

Finally my question--we have an options file for 2004, and I will have a different file for 2008. Is it possible to combine these 2 files also? ( I assume you can only have one file named adskflex.opt) Any particular sytax issues I should know about? An example would be great.
Thanks,
Carl

The right answer is *maybe*. Everything depends on what they contain. E.g.
if they contain group definitions then you may not be interested in
duplicating them.
If they contain product specific info then they can likely be combined.

If they contain general info you might want to remove duplicate lines.

The best way is to post them so we can actually help you out.

I'm attaching the 2 different options files. I've renamed them to distinguish between the 2. We're only using vanilla ACAD so there's only one product specified and no PLIST. The main differences are the software version (2004 vs 2008) and the usernames and groups will be revised in 2008. Obviously I could make the files identical except for the version..

Thanks for any suggestions on whether these can or should be combined, I don't think I've seen this issue adressed.
Carl
PS it's only allowing me to include a single attachment so I'll make another reply with the second attachment.

I think it should be perfectly fine to merge the files without any big
problems.
All the features are distinct in their names and the group names are the
same.

The last two lines you should remove from the combined result to avoid
duplicates:

FQDN_MATCHING lenient
REPORTLOG +d:\progra~1\autode~1\license\log\acaduse.rl
