College student trying to download Maya 2015 but won't give serial number

I am attempting to install "Maya 2015" but it will only give the product number and not the serial number. 
Even on the 30 day trial Maya still failed to install. 
I tried fixing the problem by deleting the program files on the C drive (Windows 8.1 device) and re-installing it but to no avail.

How should I alleviate the installation/activation issue?

Sorry to hear about this. Please, follow the steps below:

1 - The serial number issue likely originates from a faulty Education Community account. Please, create a new account using a different e-mail address and try to obtain a serial number again.

2 - The installation error can be resolved by following these steps.

I also get same error while trying to download Maya LT 2015. But i got serial number on my email. So no problem. But please fix this error.

I created a new account with my student email (.edu) but the problem persists.

Is there a way to recieve a serial number through my student email?

Also, I was targeted by a scammer pretending to offer help from this forum. (See below).
