Can't open Student Version of AutoCAD 2013

Hello,

I've tried looking at other forum posts to solve my problem but I can't seem to find the solution. I downloaded the new AutoCAD 2013 onto my computere (Student version), installed it as per the instructions, but everytime I open the program, a window appears saying: "AutoCAD Application has stopped working"

The problem details are as follows:

  Problem Event Name:    APPCRASH
  Application Name:    acad.exe
  Application Version:    25.0.55.0
  Application Timestamp:    4f309abd
  Fault Module Name:    accore.dll
  Fault Module Version:    19.0.55.0
  Fault Module Timestamp:    4f309bcf
  Exception Code:    c0000005
  Exception Offset:    00000000000bddf0
  OS Version:    6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
  Locale ID:    4105
  Additional Information 1:    d357
  Additional Information 2:    d3571c485c0fb56bb09815278810e62e
  Additional Information 3:    ca0a
  Additional Information 4:    ca0ace0354cacec4604c1bcbda58e4cc

The program doesn't load at all. I was able to install Autodesk Design Review 2013 and Autodesk Inventor Fusion 2013 just fine. I have already tried uninstalling it and re-installing it but the same thing occurs. I'm also pretty sure I have already entered the product code (license) but still no luck.

My computer is currently an Acer Aspire 5741G, Intel(R)Core(TM) i5 CPU   M 430 @2.27GHz 2.27GHz; Ram: 4GB; 64bit OS (Windows 7 Home Premium); Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon: HD 5470 Graphics 512MB.

I am also the main user on my laptop. Any insite as to why this is happening would be very much obliged.

Thanks!

Hello Robin,

Here are the steps needed to resolve, posted by our Installation and Licensing team along with a few other useful solutions.

1. Uninstall AutoCAD.
2. Create a new user account with Admin.
3. Install AutoCAD with the settings below:

4.  Checking license is something related to your computer.  It is not connecting to the internet.
