Thanks Jimmy.
I apologise for taking so long to reply. Unfortunately, this is what i
thought. I still have our reseller chasing this but i don't hold out much
hope.
I am going to rant now, so if you are not interested, stop here 🙂
This has been my major bugbear with Autocad network licensing for years! We
have a situation where we have a number of users that require Civil 3D
functionality and a number of users that only require Autocad functionality.
Many of these users only use the software 25% of the time. The advantage of
the network license is that we do not need to purchase a license for each of
these users. However, sometimes all the autocad users want to use their
software at the same time. Obviously some will not be able to use autocad
even though a Civil 3D licenses is available. If we want to avoid this
situation we are forced to purchase Civil 3D licenses for everyone and pay
significantly more for functionality that is not used!
Not a happy camper!
Ian.
