I'm going to purchase Autocad LT. Five of them. I see versions of autocad from resellers. If I go with buying 2014 LT from a reseller what do I lose not buying direct? If I buy five individual 2014 versions will it allow me to register each one on two computers? Will this mess me up with upgrades in the future ?

Normally you will *gain* by going through a reseller. They will usually assist with licensing, downloads, product demonstrations, and other basic issues. They may also provide additional incentives such as in-office support visits, training programs, and access to specialists in other offices. What is offered can vary between resellers (including how much extra for extra services).

In regards to your inquiry about multiple registrations, you are entitled to activate a given single seat license on 2 computers at the same time as long as the licenses are used by the same individual, and both aren't used concurrently / at the same time.
