Blank Register Today Screen

I installed AutoCAD LT 2010 on a new Windows 7 64 bit machine.  When I try to import the license from the License Transfer Utility, I get the Register Today screen, but it's blank.  Any ideas?

if

regsvr32 jscript.dll doesnt help

you could do

regsvr32 /u jscript.dll

 first then

regsvr32 jscript.dll

Dear hashim,

I download autocad 2010, but i get (after licence epired) the message of:

activate

buy

run

Run is grey, and i cant click it, and when i click activate and buy, it gives the 'register today' message.

Could you please mail me what the solution was? this because the forum-maker said ur last option helped, but the site doesnt work anymore.

Please mail me at: jimmybos_1@hotmail.com

Hello,

I ran into a similar issue with a client recently and I wanted to get this procedure out into the groups.  Other processes I tried did not work, but this one is a slight variation on previous methods and worked.

Basically, you make sure you run the command window as an Administrator and unregister and register two dlls. Here is the process that worked for me:

1.)   Ensure that all Autodesk applications are closed.
2.)   In the search/run bar at the bottom of the Windows Start menu, type CMD but do *not* press Enter.  The menu will change to a search results page, displaying cmd.exe at the top of the list.
3.)   Right-click on cmd.exe at the top of the list and choose Run as Administrator from the context menu that appears.
4.)   If prompted whether to allow the program to make changes to Windows, click Yes; a DOS prompt window will appear.
5.)   At the command prompt, enter regsvr32 /u jscript.dll to unregister
6.)   At the command prompt, enter regsvr32 /u vbscript.dll to unregister
7.)   At the command prompt, enter regsvr32 jscript.dll to register
8.)   At the command prompt, enter regsvr32 vbscript.dll to register
9.)   Reboot your machine.
10.) Retest the registration.

Hope this helps!

If you have IE9, please uninstall it.

Oh god thank you, finally a solution that worked! Smiley Very Happy

I've been struggling for several days with all kinds of solutions, from both this forum and others. I'm running a windows 7, 64 bit system from dell.

Cheers!

Just another possibility for others that may find this post.

I have seen IE9 affect some installs. Sometimes this can cause a blank register screen. Rolling back to IE8 can help, but it is not always a simple process.

1.)    Log in to Windows and go to the Control Panel.

2.)    Access Programs and Features option

3.)    Click “Turn Windows features on or off”.

4.)    Uncheck the Internet Explorer 9 box

5.)    Click “OK” and the system will process.

6.)    After this completes, shut the machine down completely and restart.

7.)    When windows boots click the Windows Start button

8.)    Access the Run box and inside, type CMD.exe but do not press [Enter].

9.)    Move your cursor over the CMD.exe icon above and right-click

10.) Click Run as an Administrator

11.) In this window copy and right-click paste the following text:

FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*9.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /norestart"

12.) Press Enter and the process will run. You may get errors. Accept them.

13.) After this completes (may take a few minutes and look like nothing is happening- wait!) run the same command again. (2x total)

14.) After this is through, go to the Control Panel.

15.) Access Programs and Features option

16.) Click "Turn Windows features on or off"

17.) Internet Explorer 8 should be present, make sure it is checked

18.) Close the window and try to run and activate the software
