Autodesk Network License Manager for Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

Hi Guys,

Good day. We just finished networking our 2 Computer Labs all running Macs (iMacs and MacPros) workstations running on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Now the plan is to make our mentor's workstation (MacPro) as a server for the Maya Software. I've already downloaded the software and also got the license file. My concern now is the Autodesk Network License Manager, FlexNet. I was able to download the FlexNet Publisher License Server 11.11.1.2 but it won't continue when I installed it to our mentor's workstation. Can you provide me a link that works as a License Manager that is also compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8 or is there another Network License Manager that you can recommend for Mac.

Thanks.
Lloyd

Good day. Following the steps in installing the autodesk network license manager for Mac OS X 10.6, below is its message in Terminal:

9:07:25 (lmgrd) Using license file "ENCSU2014enlicense.lic"

Is there another way to run our license server?

Thanks.

The hostname in the license file must match the actual hostname exactly.

Jimmy is right.  He always is.  Smiley Very Happy

Just change the hostname in the LIC to match the required name listed in the error status.

Ok. I'm resurrecting an old thread. We seem to have similar problem, We;re trying to license autocad 2015 on a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard Server 10.6. We obtained our license and installed NLM on the server. When we run lmgrd, we've been bedeviled with error messages such as the one below indicating that the hostname in the license file is not a valid license server system host. We'll change the name to match and receive a similar message. We;re pulling our hair out.

MACSERVER:flexnetserver hughweisman$ sudo ./lmgrd -c /var/flexlm/adsk_server.lic14:00:05 (lmgrd) -----------------------------------------------

14:00:05 (lmgrd)   Please Note:

14:00:05 (lmgrd) Server's System Date and Time: Thu May 08 2014 14:00:05 EDT

14:00:05 (lmgrd) SLOG: Summary LOG statistics is enabled.

14:00:05 (lmgrd) The license server manager (lmgrd) running as root:

14:00:05 (lmgrd)            This is a potential security problem

14:00:05 (lmgrd)            and is not recommended.

MACSERVER:flexnetserver hughweisman$ 14:00:06 (lmgrd) "MACSERVER": Not a valid server hostname, exiting.

14:00:06 (lmgrd) Valid license server system hosts are: "MACSERVER.local"

14:00:06 (lmgrd) Using license file "/var/flexlm/adsk_server.lic"
