Autodesk Inventor Installation Error

I tried to install Inventer.  The screen showed serial number details, but when I click on Install Now, it does not respond.  On the left bottom of screen, it showed "Error on page".  What do I need to do?  Thanks.

Hi Greg,

I'm assuming that you are referring to the Install Now feature from within the Education Community? As this method can present errors depending on your personal computer settings (firewall, antivirus, connection speed etc.) I'd recommend utilizing an alternative download method (Download Now or Browser Download) as a workaround.

Thanks Philip. I did try both Download Now and Browser Download, still had the same problem. Earlier, when I first downloaded, my computer did not have enough space. So I had to halt the process and clean up for more spaces. I guess maybe it recognizes my computer and will not allow me to download again? Anyway to get around this?

There may be a newer version of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package installed on your computer which is causing the install failure.

A typical workaround is to uinstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (x86) via the Control Panel (add / remove programs), reinstall the software, and then install the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (x86) from Microsoft (linked here).
