I have recently downloaded Inventor 2011 for use on my laptop. The entire download went smoothly and I attempted to install the program on my computer. However, when I select 'install', an error message pops up saying that the program is not compatible with my computer.
I have cross checked my computer's specifications with Inventor's system requirements and I cannot find any discrepancies. Here is what I have:
Gateway model NV53
AMD Athlon II Dual Core M300 processor (2.00 GHz processor)
4.00 Gb of RAM
Windows Home Premium OS 64-bit
AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Graphics card
I accidentally downloaded the 32 bit version of the software (I realized halfway through the download and didn't want to wait for another 4 hours to re-download the 64 bit version). However, I don't see why the program would not work with a 64 bit computer
Thank you in advance for help
you can't install the 32 bit version of inventor on a 64 bit os
