Autocad not responding when opening for the first time

Hi,

I am having an issue with autocad not responding to any command. I download Autocad 2012 yesterday on my Windows XP side of my Mac. But when I open the program, it acts like everything is loading and opening, but I get this message on the command bar of "AutoCAD menu utilities loaded". Once I get this message the Command bar is grayed out and I can't do anything. I can't even close the program. Can someone please help me with this issue? I tried to download an older version of Autocad to see if that was the issue but it is doing the same thing. Please help me solve this issue. Thanks

Can you try this solution out and let me know if applies to the network version as well?
