Autocad Aceess Across Network

We have Vlan how do i access Network Version of Autocad across the Network.
Autocad access works fine when Autocad server is on the same network but
gives a license problem when accessing from another network ie. across
routers.

Just fyi -
According to the autodesk license agreement you cannot run (or license)
autocad over a WAN. The first step you should take is to talk to your
re-seller about this. I've heard a rumor that autodesk will grant a "waiver"
under certain conditions that will allow you to run acad over the wan.

No that the legal part is out of the way, we can continue with the technical
part, which is why you posted.

How exactly this is going to work is going to depend on what version of the
adlm you are running (which will be determined by which version of autocad
you are running).
FlexLM: Assuming that the flex adlm is installed in the default
configuration you need to make sure that tcp ports 27000 and 2080 are open
between the user and the server. The user must be able to access the server
by host name. Name resolution must work flawlessly.
Elan: With the elan adlm you need to make sure that udp port 1422 is open
between the server and client. Just like with the flex name resolution has
to work flawlessly. If you are outside the server's subnet you also need to
use the acadserver variable.

In either case you should be able to ping the adlm by host name and receive
a reliable response. If you can't get that to work, it's not likely you'll
get you licensing to work.

If you can post back with some specific information, well see what we can do
to help you.
