    My ADLM was set up with 5 Autocad2000, 5 AutoCad2000i & 5 Autocad
Architectural Desktop R2. All my workstations was hitting the ADLM fine.
I recent had to reinstall my ADLM due to server crashing. I call the
registration to receive new authorization number for my new server code and
they only gave me one AutoCad Architectural Desktop R2 & one AutoCad 2000i.
They told me that my Acad 2000 has been upgraded to Acad2000i. Whcih was
fine but now my workstation with AutoCad 2000i work fine and my
Architectural Desktop R2 workstation will not fine the ADLM. Give me an
error message when trying to open Architectural Desktop R2 ( Fatal Error Can
not locate Hardware Lock or Network License). Does anyone know how to get
my Architectural Desktop R2 to read the ADLM.

So i will be more the happy to get some help

    Thank's

    James -

The way it used to work

On "old" versions of vertical products (ADT, MDT, LDDT etc) you received an auth code for
both the acad version that the product was based on and an auth code for the vertical
    product.

    The way it works now

With the current builds of the vertical products you only receive an auth code for the
vertical product, and that authenticates the whole thing.

I'm not exactly sure when autodesk changed this. ADT2 however was issued before this
change (I'm almost positive of this). Call the 800 number again. Tell them that you
still must have the 5 acad2000 licenses to run adt2. ADT2 cannot and will not pull a
license from the acad2000i pool. You may have to argue with them and ask for the
supervisor because their current rules indicate that they don't give out acad authcodes
for vertical products, but in the case of ADT2 you can't run it without one.

If all else fails contact safety net. If they end up charging you the $65 for the call it
will probably be worth the amount of time that you will spend not running adt2.
