Autocad 2011 Splash screen crash

hello there,

Following the uninstall of 3ds max 2010, ( and so far successful reinstallation), acad 2011 had a license error and eventually quit after splash screen.  Read the different posts about ADLM, deleting flex data files, .cas file etc... but no luck so decided to uninstall and reinstall but no luck either.

The log file says:

Reason=Fatal error
4580 2011/10/24 15:00:38 ComputerName=
4580 2011/10/24 15:00:38 OS=6.0.6002.Service Pack 2
4580 2011/10/24 15:00:38 File=AdlmIntSATSLicense.cpp,Line=364
4580 2011/10/24 15:00:38 VendorID=2 [ADLMACT]
4580 2011/10/24 15:00:38 VendorError=18 [Argument to a function is bad]

Not sure if i must completely unistall all autodesk products ( not my first option) and if so also clean the registry ( dont like to mess with that).  I in the mean time was able to reinstall acad 2007.  I am running vista 64 ultimate.

If any of you have an idea it would be greatly appreciated

Thanki

I think you deleted the productinformation.pit file.  I would unistall all your Autodesk products and reinstall it.

Hello,

Thanks for your response.

Actually i solved the issue by deleting both files in the flexnet folder of appdate, not only the data file but also its backup,

Thanks

Alex
