Autocad 14 on Winnt server and win2000 clients?

Hi!

I got problem with hardware lock message on my win2000 clients. I have
Autocad 14 installed on a winnt server. Shouldn't this work or are there
any tips to get around the problem?

Greatful for any help!

Best regards

We just got our adlm working on a PC running NT 4 workstation (ie not a
server) and we are now running clients from NT4 or win2000 [many thanks to
support here 🙂 ].

I suggest you bump up the verbosity of error messages and look at the log
and send them here.

We had the hardware lock error too.

It turned out for us to have an autocad map 2000 license we had to install 2
auth codes, one for the base product of autocad and one for map 2000 also.
The error message in the log stated it couldn't get feature 150
authorisation which is the autocad feature (license).

Make sure you don't have a hardware lock (dongle) installed on the server if
you are converting from a single locked license to a network license.

Regards,
Max

Catrin,

In the first instance please ensure that you download the updated
adesksys.dll. This is required for Win2000 clients.

Search on adesksys.dll
