Hi folks;

I downloaded a trial version of AutoCAD 2011- (Autodesk Assistance Program:unemployed) and installed it. But everytime I want to fully register and activate the new account gives this:

Is not available in your area

Is it possible to register in Slovenia?

The Autodesk Assistance Program team tells me that the program is available to you in Europe. Since the Autodesk Assistance Program issues serial numbers by Geo, be sure they select the EMEA version of the program available here: http://www.autodesk.co.uk/assistance.

I use Autocad myself at work....but am interested to hear about the Autodesk support programme for the unemployed. Is the support programme available in the UK and is still available?  I know someone who is unemployed and looking to broaden his skills in design.

When I try to sign in for the assistance program as unemployed it only gives me the following options: student, faculty or mentor ???? no option for unemployed ... is this being worked on? When I try any of the other options it's asking me for school information which I am not able to enter as I am not a student.

Agreed.  I think the best shot you have is the free student version.  It has an educational stamp of course.  Otherwise all you can do is either run a 30-day trial or purchase a full version.

Just got off the phone with Autodesk. The prgram is still available even for the unemployed. They are just going thrue a lot of kinks with the transition to a facebook page at the moment. Apparently EVERYONE is tryiing to sign in and download at the same time. Just got to give them some time and let them work out the kinks. I'll try again in a couple of days.

To the brave CAD people currently tinkering on this facebook page, make sure that the fill out options include the option for sign up as "unemployed" versus "faculty, mentor or student" only. Can't fill out the school info if I am not attending any :0)

The "unemployed" version is indeed the "student" version with the watermark, already knew that. The issue is that it won't let you get past the "enter school/institution" question if you are not a student somewhere.

There have been a few other complaints about the partnership with Facebook.  Good luck with that.
