AutoCad 2008 to 2006

I have produced a drawing in AutoCad 2008 LT at work, I have returned the works laptop that had CAD on it. In order to work with the drawing I have brought in my own laptop in which has AutoCad 2006 LT. I tried to open up the drawing in 2006 but it informs me it cant.

How do I make it compatible? Now that I dont have access to 2008

Regards
Chris

AutoCAD drawings are forward compatible only.

The drawing you have must be saved as a 2007 file format and hence is unreadable in AutoCAD 2006.

You need to get the drawing to open in AutoCAD 2008 or later and save the file as a 2004 version file.

Only then will you be able to work with the drawing using AutoCAD LT 2006.
