AutoCAD2010 will not install & won't accept the Product Key I was given.
I have gone to the Register Once walk-through, and when it asks for the product request code, the one i was given in my download screen under Product Key is not accepted and says in red: "The request code you entered is not valid. Try again (Error 3)" Also when i click the installation for my autoCAD2010 software, by the end of the installation it says XAutoCAD 2010 Not Installed.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Could it be that the serial number is correct, but the product key i have is different for activation than the one Autodesk provided me?
The Serial Number and Product Key you were given at the time of download in the Student Community are used during the installation. The Product Key tells the installer which suite or package of software the application is part of. The Activation Code is given after the installation and the Request Code is created by the license system.
You should be able to activate automatically. The license system will communicate without servers through the internet and provide the Request Code to acquire the Activation Code.
