AutoCAD2008 Deployment by group policy fails

For the first time we want to auto deploy AutoCAD 2008.

First I created a share on the file server with full rights on the share and the map.
After that I disabled on the server and on the client pc the virus scan.
Then I copied all the files from the AutoCAD2008 DVD to the local hard disk.
Then I run setup.exe and clicked on Create Deployments.
On the screen called "Begin Deployment" I browsed to the share I made. I used the UNC path. I left the other this default. Just for trying.
I used stand-alone license on the "Select the license type" screen.
Type installation: Typical and installed Express and Material Library. Installation Patch default.
I didn’t change any Search Path or file location. None file where added on the screen Install Additional Files.
No extra service pack is added to the deployment file.
I left the last settings default.

Then I made a new OU on the Windows Server 2003. I created a new policy where I could add the MSI and MST files.
I did this at the same way as in the manual "Network Administrator Guide" is described.
After adding the MSI file an error is written to the event log files. See below:

Event error of Windows.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Software Installation
Event Category: None
Event ID: 107
Date: 20-08-2007
Time: 14:26:55
User: N/A
Computer: BNNFILE01
Description:
Software Installation was unable to read the MSI file \\bnnfile01\Deployments\AutoCAD2008\AdminImage\acad.msi. The following error was encountered: SQL query syntax invalid or unsupported.

I tried a different DVD - same story
I used a second pc to make the deployment files - didn't help
I tried to add the MSI file on a second server - Same story.

I have done a support request and they can't help me. Everything tips they had didn’t worked out.

On eventid.net I found a tip on mapped drives, but I didn’t used any mapped drives.

Servers have almost every update installed. Only SP2 for Windows Server 2003 isn't installed yet.

Does somebody know how I can get this work? Message was edited by: M.ten.Kate

Have you tried to manually run
\\bnnfile01\Deployments\AutoCAD2008\AdminImage\acad.msi?

Download Orca from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?linkid=55774

Orca is a GUI .msi file editor that is provided with the Windows Installer
SDK. It provides full access to the Windows Installer database tables.

A set of Help files are provided with Orca. To obtain the orca.exe and Orca
documentation you must download and install the Windows Installer SDK, which
is provided as an Orca.msi file. After you install the Microsoft Windows
Software Development Kit (SDK), double click the Orca.msi file to install
Orca.

Run Orca and open the MSI file
Select Tables>add tables>add the Upgrade table.
Save the MSI file

This might help

Thanks Jimmy,

That fixed the file and after adding, the error was gone.
One client is installing at the moment.

(For other users: Installating the SDK did takes +/- 30 minutes)
