    AutoCAD hangs during open

We recently switched our file server to a NT4.0 (SP5) network. We also use
a netowrk version of AutoCADr14.01. Sometimes while opening an AutoCAD
drawing, AutoCAD will start to open the file, and then hang at about 93%.
The length of the hang varies, but usually lasts at least a minute. The
drawings in question have never done this before the network switch.

Has anyone ever seen a problem like this? If so, how do I go about fixing
    it?

    TIA

Something could change in this file since it was last time opened locally.
Check if you move it back from network to local drive you don't get delay at
93%. If you do, the problem now is in the file not in the network.

It does not happen on a regular basis and it does not always happen with the
same files. Several users aren't even accessing the same directory or
xrefs. I can't seem to find any logical reasons for it.
