_AutoCAD R14 in Citrix Environment

Hello !

(This messages is also posted to the Connectivity group)

I am involved in a project where my customer wants to run AutoCAD in a
Citrix Enverionment. We are using AutoCAD R14.01 on a
Windows 2000 Server with Citrix Meta Frame 1.8

We have got everything working but the crosshair is a bit slow. During the
tests we established that you need atleast 256kbit dedicated bandwidth for
each workstation and that the connection
is depening on numbers of router jumps and the total delay time.

When running AutoCAD the cursor runs smothly over the toobars but when
moving over the drawingarea it is much slower. In old days when working
with Digitzers, you could set the update rate of the cursor. Is there anyway
to do this now ?

Have anynow got any ideas how to improve the preformace in AutoCAD ?

Thanks in advance,

/Henrik Andersen

Autocad running in any kind of Terminal Services mode (Citrix, MS Terminal Server, etc) is
not supported by Autodesk. If it does work (meaning if you can get it to work without
autodesk's help) the I believe that Autodesk considers it a violation of their current
licensing agreement.

sorry.

Jason is correct, at this time we do not offer AutoCAD to run on Citrix and
doing so violates the license agreement because we do not offer a license
management system that is compatible with Citrix.
