AutoCAD MEP 2011 Service Pack 1 being recognized

I'm trying to update my network deployment to include the above service pack.  However, going through the modify deployment wizard, the wizard doesn't detect the SP1 over the internet nor does it recognize it when I select my downloaded version manually.  It says it doesn't recognize the install package.  I did verify I downloaded the correct language and 32/64 bit version.  Any suggestions?

are you able to install it manually ?

please try to extract the msp file and try to install

update.exe /e update.msp should extract the msp file.

Also i hope you dont have the German version, which has the update already in it.

Hashim,

In my previous post, I mentioned I already extracted the MSP file and tried to install manually through the wizard.  I also verified I downloaded the English version.  It will install if I run the EXE file after AutoCAD installed but I'm looking to place the service pack inside the network deployment image.  Any other suggestions?

Sorry it was not obvious that you extracted the msp.

are you following these steps per the readme of update 1 ?

http://images.autodesk.com/adsk/files/autocad_mep_2011_update_1.html#NetworkAdminImage

only option to add to the image is using msp file. online version wouldn't work.

Yes, I used those exact instructions to extract the MSP file.  Even though we have the ability to select the MSP manually in the wizard, shouldn't I still be given the option to "Download from www.autodesk.com" on the deployment wizard?  It doesn't recognize an available update from Autodesk.

I assume the online version is only exe file, hence it doesn't detect it.
