AutoCAD LT 2004

Every time I try to launch LT 2004 it will not even open.  I have used the program for years without any problems.  I have tried everything I can find to resolve this (including complete removal (per the Autodesk web instructions) and re-install, repair several times. Nothing seems to work.

 

 

Can anyone help and/or offer ideas on things to try?

What is your operating system?  And what happens when you try to launch the program?

I'm running XP Pro 5.1 sp3

 

When I try to launch the program nothing happens.

 

FYI, when I re-load the software, it asks for a serial number and completes the "initial" installation and I get the "installation complete", or similar, message.  However, it never seems to complete the installation. I don't get asked for an authorization code, and the "Demo-shield" installation software blinks on then off and all activity ceases.
