After downloading AutoCAD architecture 30 day demo and practicing for a couple of days - I realized my computer's clock bios was not up to date. I updated my clock bios and my trial was now over because of the clock update. I removed AutoCAD architecture from my hard drive and tried a new download - but this does not work, for some reason the initialization screen shows I already have AutoCAD architecture on my computer even after it has been removed. I am using the AutoCAD demo without a problem since I believe I initialized this after the clock bios update. I removed the product using Windows XP add/remove program. I read in Autodesk technical help that in order to get a clean install of AutoCAD architecture I need to remove ALL Autodesk products from my hard drive - which I am not willing to do because I have Autodesk REVIT working fine, along with an old version of AutoCAD LT.
Keep in mind that once a trial has expired, you cannot simply uninstall and reinstall and have a new trial period. You will need to activate the product if you plan on reusing it after a successful reinstall.
Installation problems may be resolved using the Microsoft Installer Clean Up Utility. For more information on this program, please my forum post here:
