AutoCAD Architecture 2011

The company i work for is looking at deploying AutoCAD Architecture 2011 remotely.
We have set-up a deployment but the paths to the plotters, design center, templates and a few other items are being pathed by resetting the Registry Keys.

 

Is this a good or bad ideal. The people I have taked to said you should never mess with the Registry Keys.

So long as you know what you are doing, I don't see a problem with this.  I manipulate registry settings all the time.
